CVM Relief Response: Lynch, Kentucky (Flooding)

Start a Campaign

Christian Veterinary Mission is partnering with Meridzo Center Inc. to raise funds to assist in the wake of the Lynch, Kentucky flooding. Meridzo Center has been a CVM Short-Term Missions partner since 2014 and is located right in the middle of the flood zone.  Please read below to learn how your donation today can help during this crisis.  Thank you for your support.

This past week has been a very hard week for many in our community, county and surrounding counties. The unprecedented flooding that has occurred in Eastern KY has brought devastation to many and left thousands trying to recover including our facility in the South part of Letcher County at the Stables At Creekside Glen. Praise be to God we have the Stables back up and running and all livestock are accounted for and safe. But that cannot be said for many in our area.

In light of this devastation, we as Meridzo Center Ministries are committing ourselves to helping Letcher County and surrounding counties in flood relief through our mission team volunteers and resources. Along with Harlan County, Floyd County, and Pulaski County - Letcher County is our ministry home and our family and we want to serve them faithfully while pointing to the hope found within hard times in Jesus Christ! We believe that God has strategically placed us here for a time such as this and we want to handle it with humility, gentleness, care, Love, and faithful obedience. We are committed to serving Letcher County.

If you or your church are looking for areas to serve, feel free to contact us to see how you may be involved. We have three facilities under Meridzo Center, Inc. located in Letcher County that will be points of contact for this endeavor and they are: Calvary Campus, Eolia Christian Community Outreach (ECCO), and The Farm (Shekinah Village, The Stables, God’s Creatures Veterinary Clinic).

August 6, 2022 Update:

It has been a little over a week since our area saw the largest flooding it has ever seen. The devastation was on a large scale across our region but what a week and weekend we have experienced in flood relief efforts! God has moved mightily within the mountains of eastern KY! It has been amazing to see all his provisions across Letcher County! We thank you for your prayer, care, and love through your generous giving.

To catch up to the overwhelming response we here at Meridzo Center and our three Letcher County facilities, (The Farm, ECCO, Calvary Campus) are asking that all donated supplies from the Phase 1 supply list, pause at this time until further notice. This will give us the opportunity to distribute what we have.

If you already have a load in route to us go ahead and bring it, but please no new donations at this time until we make space for storage and are able to get these already received donations into the hands of those that need them the most. We are so thankful for the help in delivering to these families, and welcome the volunteers willing to drive across our County roads to love on these families.
