Melissa and Brendon Dumas
Brendon and Melissa met in 2007 as recent high school graduates. One American and one French speaking Canadian who struggled to communicate but simply knew they were made for one another. They quickly started a 3 year long-distance relationship following Brendon’s military enlistment and Melissa’s commitment to furthering her education in Canada. The couple tied-the-knot in 2010 and were able to finally live under the same roof. 16 years later following 3 deployments, 8 moves, 14 years of service, an unsuccessful VMCAS application cycle, a forced medical retirement, and the birth of two beautiful girls, the Dumas family is now braving the many challenges of vet school.
