Kirby Ownby, D.Min, M.Div
Dr. Kirby Ownby is a two-time graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and the lead Pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in South Knoxville. His connection to the Veterinary world is through his wife, Dr. Libby Ownby, DVM, a 2009 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. They have been blessed by the adoption of their two sons, Ethan and Kaden, who keep them insanely busy with baseball and football. They also happily care for two spoiled rotten dogs, Penny and Zoe. He has had the privilege of speaking to CVM groups at the University of Tennessee and Lincoln Memorial University. When not pastoring, Kirby loves hunting, taking Jeep trips with his wife, watching his sons play sports, a little amateur baking (I am still pursuing the perfect biscuit), and traveling.
