After growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Dr Quam did her undergraduate studies at Hillsdale college and her veterinary degree at the University of Glasgow in Scotland.  After graduation, she returned to the US and worked in companion animal private practice for 7 years. In 2015, she joined CVM and moved to Mafikeng, South Africa where she taught animal health technician students and worked in the animal hospital at North-West University.  While at NWU, she also led student Bible studies, co-led a student witnessing training group (Acts 29), and helped to start a student home church. Early this year, Dr Quam finished her 3^rd term in South Africa and moved back to the US where she is currently working as a relief veterinarian.  

Dr Quam has two cats, Laddie and Leo, who are now world travellers after having moved with her from South Africa to the US.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, baking, reading, and crochet.  Although presently horseless, she has owned and ridden horses for many years and enjoys riding during her travels.  Currently, she has visited 29 countries and ridden horses in 9 of those countries.
