Dr. Philip Sponenberg
Dr. Phillip Sponenberg (DVM Texas A&M University, PhD Cornell University) is Professor of Pathology and Genetics at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been the faculty advisor for the Christian Veterinary Fellowship since 1981, helping to coordinate the weekly Bible study sessions. His teaching efforts are in pathology and genetics. His work in breed conservation is especially targeted at the conservation of locally adapted livestock that are often overlooked but that contribute to the survival and economic security of marginalized people internationally.
