Dr. Lynn Roy and Kim Chanowitz

Dr. Roy graduated from the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985 and went to Massachusetts to practice in a mixed animal practice for a couple years.  She then focused on small animal practice and has been in Central Massachusetts for the past 39 years. She retired from clinical practice in May 2026 but has continued at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine as the Student Wellness Advisor, Adjunct Faculty facilitating the Ethics Seminar and CVF Faculty Advisor. In 2016, she joined CVM on a short-term mission’s trip to the Navajo Nation, Hard Rock, AZ. She has ministered on other short term mission’s trips through her church to Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Ecuador, and South Africa. She is married with 2 adult children, a granddaughter and 2 furry kids: Max, her Labrador retriever and Dudley, her black cat. For fun, Dr. Roy enjoys walking her dog, Bible study, and travel. This year she traveled to Turkey and Greece to experience some of the Apostle Paul's journeys!

Kim is a retired LVT, and worked at a small animal practice for 23 years.  Prior to that she was a research biologist for 10 years at a large pharmaceutical company.
Through Global Health Outreach and her church she joined a short term mission trip to Nicaragua, which was life changing!

Kim Chaowitz, LVT has been married to Tim for 38 years and they have been blessed with four children and one grandson. They also have a 19 year old chihuahua, a Pomeranian and an old fat cat! She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, loves to travel and spend time in nature “glamping”.
