Dr. Lauren Rogers

An Arkansas native, Dr. Lauren Rogers graduated with her DVM from Oklahoma State University in 2009. After a short stint in Texas, she made her way back home where she worked in small animal private practice for six years. Then, in 2016, she took a leap of faith and joined the animal science faculty at the University of Arkansas – a career move she honestly never saw coming! Since 2016, Dr. Rogers has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the department and taught/co-taught a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate courses including: Animal Behavior, Comparative Veterinary Anatomy, Introduction to Animal Health, Companion Animal Nutrition, Respiratory Physiology and Renal Physiology…just to name a few! She also advises a large number of pre-veterinary students on campus, while also serving as the faculty advisor for the University of Arkansas Pre-Vet Club and its newly formed Christian Veterinary Fellowship group. She has participated in a handful of CVM Short-Term mission trips to Honduras over the years and is excited to continue sharing and promoting the mission and vision of CVM with her students as the opportunities arise. In her spare time, Dr. Rogers enjoys doing local veterinary relief work, traveling and antiquing. However, her best time spent with her husband (Quin) and stepson (Parker) - taking care of their many animals (4 dogs, 1 cat, 6 chickens and a small herd of Irish Dexter cattle) at their home on Beaver Lake.
