Dr. Gina Wintermantel
Dr. Gina graduated from the University of Illinois in 1992. While practicing small animal medicine in the U.S for many years, she held various roles within CVM. Most recently, Gina and her late husband, Steve, served with their four children in South Sudan. Their ministry focused on training and equipping South Sudanese believers to take the Gospel to unreached peoples. Unexpectedly, Steve passed away in 2023 while on the mission field. Despite this great loss, the discipleship training school continues to train and send out South Sudanese believers.
Gina now serves on the CVM staff as a mobilizer, where she has the privilege of walking alongside veterinary professionals who are in the process of becoming long-term fieldworkers. Outside of her work with CVM, Gina enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, and triathlons. She also enjoys spending time with her cat, “Q,” and her dogs, “Sabi” and "Jingles.”
