Dr. Frederic Michaelson did his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University and graduated from Auburn School of Veterinary Medicine in 1974.  He served in the US Army Veterinary Corp from 1974 to 1976.  From 1976 to 1979, Dr. Michaelson served as an instructor in surgery at Louisiana State University school of Veterinary Medicine.  In 1979 he opened a general practice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he practiced until retirement in 2018.  In the winter of 1977, Dr. Michaelson came to understand the gospel and received Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Dr. Michaelson has had the opportunity to do mission outreach programs in Honduras with CVM and HOI during the summer of 2018, 2019, and 2021 and is looking forward to more opportunities in the future.  Dr. Michaelson and his wife live in Baton Rouge, he has 4 grown children and 15 grand children. He enjoys traveling, fishing, hunting, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.
