Dr. Diane Hendrix
Dr. Hendrix attended veterinary school at the University of Tennessee, after which she completed a small animal internship at North Carolina State University. She then spent 2 years in small animal private practice. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida. She became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 1995 and joined the University of Tennessee faculty that same year. She is a professor of comparative ophthalmology and is serving as interim chair of the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences. Dr. Hendrix has two daughters who are in medical school and veterinary school. Her interests outside the university include church, her small group, hiking, gardening, baking, and traveling.
