Dr. Dan Paulsen

Dr. Paulsen was raised on a wheat farm in western Kansas in a tight knit community that revolved around a small United Presbyterian Church, which he attended every time the doors were open.  He wasn’t saved until he was 19, but that foundation of faith has been crucial in his walk.  In veterinary school at Kansas State University, he married Charlotte, his wife of 46 years. They were filled with the Holy Spirit as a result of his CVF group.  He went into mixed animal practice in western Kansas for 2 years, then on his own in a predominantly cattle practice for another 6 years.  They had their first daughter then soon afterward, he went back to and completed a Residency and PhD program at Oklahoma State University.  He got a job at LSU as an assistant professor of Veterinary Pathology. They spent 6 years there, completed their family of 3 daughters, then they left for 6 years to Mississippi State University, then back to LSU until now.  All along they have been quite active in church and consistently been on the Worship teams.  In 2003, they took their first short-term mission trip to Romania through their church, and have returned 16 times, most recently with CVM. They also took short-term trips to Guatemala, Bahamas, Haiti, and Africa.  God called them ~3 years ago to go into long-term missions and they are on course to do so in 2022, with God’s help.  Always, God has been faithful and gracious to them!
