Dr. Brian Flanagan
Dr. Brian Flanagan is a third-culture kid who spent his childhood between Haiti and Oklahoma. His parents were long-time CVM missionaries in Haiti, where Brian also started his professional career in international agriculture development and agricultural education. Brian is now on staff at the University of Tennessee Smith Center for International Sustainable Agriculture, overseeing an agricultural program in Southeast Asia. Though Dr. Flanagan is more comfortable teaching about tropical fruits than livestock, he is always excited to spend time with vets (they have the best stories) and has seen firsthand the profession’s positive impact on communities worldwide.
