The story of engagement; student to leader to missionary does not happen by accident. It requires someone to show up first.

Three ways you can help build that story of engagement:

Because of your faithfulness, we are able to advance the Gospel across veterinary medicine. Check out the Impact Report below, which shows exactly where your investment has flourished, the communities built, and the callings ignited. Your generosity is making a difference and we say thank you for being a part of the mission.

Students are in their fall semester, and right now, lonely Christians are on campus with no idea CVM exists. Your gift today ensures they can find community before isolation finds them first.

A Marriage Made at CVF
Read the Bill's Full Story

Although I was baptized at a young age, my true relationship with Christ did not begin until after a lunch lecture about Christian Veterinary Mission my freshman year at The Ohio State University’s veterinary school.

The Lord was already preparing my heart prior to this moment, but after listening to Dr. Kara Song our CVM Region Representative’s words on how to be saved, I walked out into the parking lot that day and yelled, “Lord, I am a sinner and I need a Savior!”

After that, God gave me strong conviction to begin attending our weekly Christian Veterinary Fellowship meetings, find a local church, and to remove myself from relationships that were not fulfilling God’s will for me.

So much rapid change was happening in my life and I had many questions. One classmate in particular was conveniently always around to provide answers to my questions. Jacob responded with so much grace and helped me feel at home in a Christian community for the first time in my life.

It didn’t take long for our relationship to blossom, and after much prayer we decided to marry during our third year of vet school. This decision was overwhelmingly confirmed as we got the opportunity to serve alongside each other on a CVM mission trip to Belize during our engagement.

CVM fostered my first Bible study, an environment for my first public testimony, and my first mission trip. All of those I was blessed to experience with Jacob at my side encouraging a Godly confidence in each experience.

Jacob and I graduated in May and we see all these ways that the Lord has been preparing and sanctifying us for the ‘real world’ serving Him together as veterinarians.
