Short-Term Missions

Do you have a passion to serve people of another culture and share Christ’s love for them? Do you want to discover how God can use your veterinary skills to help train others so they can better care for the needs of their animals and community? We are all called to share Christ’s love and getting involved in a short-term trip is one of the many ways God can use you to spread His love to the ends of the earth.

Apply

Fill Out the Application

Apply for the volunteer pool by completing the online application form and submit the application fee of $50 by clicking on the “Pay Fees” option under Short-Term.

Reference Check

Within the online form, a link will be sent to one Professional/Peer reference and one Christian Commitment reference. Please note, family members & spouses may not serve as references.

Decision process

Once we have received both the Professional and Christian Commitment references, we will review your application and make a decision in regards to your acceptance. Once we have come to a decision, we will notify you of the outcome via email.

Pick A Trip

Peruse the Current Opportunities on the website to find trips that are in the area you are interested in or during the time frame that works best for you.

Register for the Trip

Once you have chosen a trip, click on the “Express Interest” button for that particular trip to complete the Trip Interest Form to notify the Short-Term Missions Coordinator. Please note, until you have received a confirmation email from the CVM Short-Term staff, you have not been officially registered on the team.

Pay Trip Fees

After being approved to go on the short-term trip, please go online and click “Pay Fees” under the Short-Term section on the website. Paying your trip deposit will reserve your spot on the team.

Prepare to Go

Part of preparing for missions is taking care of details. Make sure you have completed your trip paperwork found on our Short-Term Forms page.

Fundraise

Raise the remaining amount of expenses for your trip. Get creative and build relationships with your supporters! All funds are due 6 weeks prior to departure.

Go Where Christ Leads

Meet up with your team members, experience God in new ways and serve the people there! And remember, always be flexible!

Share Your Story

Share with others about your trip and how you experienced God while serving. Write thank you notes your prayer and financial partners.
