Join trip leader Dr. Kailey Ann McPhail on this exciting trip to Hard Rock on Navajo Nation! Our biggest need right now is for Equine DVMs, Small Animal DVMs, and Vet Students to help run animal health clinics and to minister to the Navajo community through building relationships.
Dates: July 25 - August 1, 2026
Location and Local Partner: Hard Rock, AZ (Navajo Nation); Pastor Albert Nez, Dr. Adrienne Ruby; Navajo Veterinary Services
Vet Work: Small animal - dog and cat spay and neuter procedures, outpatient vaccines and deworming. Large animal - preventative medicine/vaccines for sheep, goats, horses, cattle. Dental floats and castrations for horses.
Ministry Work: Daily communication with locals during appointments, visiting local church on Sunday morning, Gospel presentation on receipts from veterinary work, prayer requests after farm calls, Community Night that includes Christian message/songs.
Group Size: 20-25 DVMS (equine preferred), Vet Techs, Vet Students; All members need to be legal adults (18+).
Cost: $590
Additional Information: Rural area with little to no tourist options. Intermittent cell service, no internet available. Housing conditions are fair - indoor plumbing, window units/fans for AC, food provided.
