South Asia Trek & Treat
Join us as we go on our annual South Asia Trek & Treat! This is to a remote, secure location, so additional details will be provided if you show interest.
Dates: September 19-29, 2025. This is the time on site. Volunteers should add a day or two on both the front and back end of the trip from travel to and from the location.
Vet Work: This team will be trekking through the mountainous regions to treat nomadic people and their herds. There will also be travel to a remote valley and working in villages with farmers who have small flocks.
We do quite of bit of pregnancy checks on cattle, so we would love to have additional volunteers with large animal experience as we minister to this unreached people group.
Participants should be physically fit and able to hike.
Ministry Work: Show the love of Christ through your actions and relationships with each other and how you engage with the people you come in contact with. Be a source of encouragement and a blessing to your host partners and team members.
Needed: 4-6 additional team members. Trip is open to DVMs, technicians and other resource team members (nutrition, agriculture). Vet students are also encouraged to attend. Team members with experience with small ruminants and equine is helpful but not required.
Cost: $1,280 (does not include airfare); Volunteers age 70+ will need to purchase their own insurance outside of CVM. For this reason, these volunteers will see a slight decrease in the CVM trip cost.
