Vet Work: We will visit 2 different locations:

2) Arusha Region donkey welfare training and support. Spay/neuter/vaccination of area small animals and mentoring of Tanzanian young vets and vet students.

Ministry Work:

1) Remote Muslim area work will be focused on veterinary medicine used to strengthen relationships between local Tanzanian pastors and the community. Opportunity to engage with young local Muslim students as we disperse Bible story coloring books.

2) Arusha Region work open for evangelism opportunities and spontaneous sharing. Opportunity to demonstrate how to combine evangelism/faith with work.

Number Needed: Max 4 total (up 2 vets, max 2 tech/students). Non-vets are allowed. Children are not allowed.

Cost: $1,870 (not including international airfare). This does NOT include an optional safari if you want to take part in that with the team. Additionally, you will need to purchase a visa before traveling ($100 for US citizens) and new required insurance through Tanzania ($50); Volunteers age 70+ will need to purchase their own insurance outside of CVM. For this reason, these volunteers will see a slight decrease in the CVM trip cost. Students can apply to receive up to a 50% off scholarship and another $400 if approved for this trip!

Additional Details: CVM long-term field workers Dr. Lena and Patrick Wensel will be hosting the team. There will be an opportunity for a safari, time around Arusha town and at an English/Swahili church. Please note that the cost above does not include a safari or international airfare.
