Join CVM on this exciting trip to the South Asia Himalayas! This trip will be hosted by one of CVM's long-term fieldworkers. Due to lodging constraints, we can only accept three volunteers. We will generally take all of the same gender (based off of who is added to the roster first) or a couple.

In 2027, CVM is putting more of an emphasis on outreach trips to the 10/40 window and UPGs. This trip is to an area with very little Gospel access. Please consider serving here.

Dates: April 15-25, 2027

Vet Work: Deworming and vaccination programs of large animals in villages. You will also be helping to train local animal health workers. Periodically, you may assist with a small animal spay/neuter.

Ministry Work: You will show hope and love through your actions and relationships with each other and how you engage with the people you come in contact with. You will encourage local animal health workers in their faith, share testimonies, and participate in Bible studies in villages.

Volunteers Needed: At least one DVM (or more) is needed to lead the team. 2 vet techs and/or students welcome to join. Maximum team size is 3 people. No children are allowed. Volunteers with no vet experience may be considered depending on their skill set.

Cost: $1,240 (Does not include airfare or visa); All veterinary students are eligible for a 50% scholarship toward your trip costs and airfare. Volunteers age 70+ will need to purchase their own insurance outside of CVM. For this reason, these volunteers will see a slight decrease in the CVM trip cost.

Additional information: You will be hosted by local CVM fieldworker. You must be willing to stay in rustic village settings and eat local food. The trip length is 10 days, but there is an option to add a hiking experience or other tourist attraction before or after trip. For those wanting to do this, it will be $70/day (roughly 4-5 days). You can take that amount in cash or pay CVM directly for us to transfer the funds.
