Dates: August 1-10, 2024

Vet Work: Mostly mixed work as this team will be going into the local nearby communities offering vet services such as deworming and vaccination of poultry, dogs, pigs, and cattle. You will also be castrating pigs, and conducting some spays and neuters and other treatments. Volunteers will give livestock training (caregivers’ training) to the farmers focusing on animal health.

Ministry Work: You will show hope and love through your actions and relationships with each other and how you engage with the people you come in contact with. You will be mentoring the youth and spending informal time with the local community. You will also be visiting the leprosy colony.

Needed: Vets, Vet Techs, and Vet Students are needed! 3-5 Veterinarians, 2-3 Veterinary students; 5-7 team members are needed. Trip is open to DVMs, technicians and other resource team members (nutrition, agriculture), students and family. No children are allowed.

Cost: $1,580 (international airfare not included)

Additional Information: We will be working in the villages where the tribal people are one of the backward people groups living in the mountains. They depend upon livestock for their livelihood, but they lose animals every year because of a lack of veterinary service and training.
