Vets, vet techs and students are needed to support countryside villages by providing animal health clinics as outreach for our local partners, Pastor Oscar and Tamy Gaitan. Join experienced trip leaders and team members to grow your faith and engage in vet work including small animal, cattle, and horses. Building relationships and ministering to others is a strong focus.

Dates: June 7-15, 2024

Local Partner: Pastor Oscar and Tamy Gaitan. Dr. Richard and Wanda Johnson are the team leaders.

Vet Work: Most of the work is small animal (primarily dogs), but there is some large animal work and will be in rural areas where many residents own livestock, primarily hogs, cattle, horses/donkeys, and poultry, although dogs are very prevalent. It will be common to vaccinate and deworm several dozen dogs and conduct spays and neuters on a few more. Also, expect to castrate pigs and treat cattle and hogs for various problems such as wounds, parasite infestations, or infections.

Ministry Work: There will be many opportunities to worship with believers either in churches or homes. The veterinary work also provides opportunities to share the Gospel and build relationships to help the Gaitan's ministry efforts. Be prepared to share your testimony in various settings.

Number Needed: SA/LA/mixed animal Vets, Vet Techs, Vet Students, and Pre-Vets welcome. We need several small but also large animal vets to enroll.

Cost: $870 (not including airfare)
