Mongolia (Teaching English)
Do you have extended time to serve during June and July?
Would you like to make a lasting impact on rural children?
Does spending 40 days with a team in the Mongolian countryside sound exciting?
Mongolia V.E.T. Net NGO is looking for teachers or university students or other interested believers to come serve with our teacher teams in various rural counties as part of our "Claim a County" summer school program. No teaching experience is required, and all curriculum is already prepared. Native English speakers are very valuable to our program. Besides helping with English training, you will be part of fellowship and relationship building times with the students and their families, as well as helping with daily devotions and Bible times with your teacher team.
You can view the video about CaC on the CVM website.
Local Partner: V.E.T. Net is: Veterinarians and educators doing training as a network across the country of Mongolia to bring genuine change to the rural, urban, and university population of Mongolia through the love and message of Jesus Christ.
Ministry Work: There is a strong ministry focus on this trip. You will be leading daily devotions and participating in Bible study with your teacher team - very important as some of these teachers are relatively young believers. You will also be sharing the Gospel through building relationships with local children, teaching conversational English, playing games, and providing friendship. Through this program, the love of God is displayed to students who most likely have never heard the good news of Jesus Christ!
Additional Info: You will arrive in time for orientation with the teacher team, and can help them with last minute preparations before heading to the countryside ~June 15-19. Your accommodations will be rustic, often with no running water. Meals are simple Mongolian fare, and meal preparation will be shared with your team of two Mongolian teachers. You will return to the city ~July 24-28, have time to debrief as well as a day or two to do a little shopping and/or sightseeing within the city.
This is an awesome opportunity for an adventurous, flexible person with a servant heart to make a very big impact on underserved children in rural Mongolia.
Cost: $2,900 (not including airfare); Volunteers age 70+ will need to purchase their own insurance outside of CVM. For this reason, these volunteers will see a slight decrease in the CVM trip cost. Because dates are flexible, cost varies based on number of days in-country. Since costs are dependent on a number of factors, we will provide you with the exact cost of a full trip once we are able to talk with you.
