Honduras (HOI Ranch)
Drs. Dick Linn and Heidi Lobprise and this team of volunteers will be partnering with HOI to serve the people of the Agalta Valley this summer (flying into Palmerola airport). Workdays will be spent traveling into nearby communities to conduct rural clinics and animal wellness checks. Non-vet participants can help with outreach efforts and children's ministry. Participants will stay at HOI's ranch, Rancho el Paraiso.
HOI trips are fantastic trips for seasoned short-term volunteers and first-timers alike. HOI staff help to coordinate projects ahead of time and transportation, meals, and basic comforts at Rancho el Paraiso are provided. Come prepared to serve the people of Honduras and be a part of this fantastic team!
Local Partner: HOI
Trip leader: Drs. Dick Linn and Heidi Lobprise
Dates: March 14-21, 2026
Vet Work: Small animal clinics (spay and neuters, de-worming, and flea/tick treatments) and large animal work (some equine castrations and de-worming) in nearby communities.
Ministry Work: Building relationships and praying with community members, along with some work with children.
Number Needed: DVMS, techs, students, and pre-vet students all needed. Non-vets welcome to join if there is space available. *Age minimum of 12 years old*
Max Group Size: 25
Event Cost: $1,270; Airfare to/from Palmerola (XPL) is not included. Volunteers age 70+ will need to purchase their own insurance outside of CVM. For this reason, these volunteers will see a slight decrease in the CVM trip cost.
