Do you have a heart for Central Asia? We have a new opportunity to serve a people group in a closed area where people have little access to the Gospel.
We are looking for DVM's and Vet Techs who might grow in their commitment to long-term engagement and service at this location. Veterinary or Animal Science students are welcome especially if they are interested in medium- or long-term service, with a focus on large animal work. Ministry Work: Participants will facilitate personal and professional development at a Leadership Camp (soft skills) for English-speaking Agricultural University students during May 17-21. Opportunities to share about your spiritual journey will likely develop when students ask questions within the context of smelling the fragrance of Christ.
Veterinary Work: Veterinarians and technicians will mentor practical, hands-on skills learning in groups of 3 local English-speaking veterinary and 1 American veterinary students during a camp on the Veterinary university campus May 24-28. Number Needed: Total of 8 DVMs, Vet Techs, and Animal Science or Veterinary students (sheep, goats, beef and dairy cattle experience or interest)
Cost: $4,000 for May 13 - 30 (two camps) or $3,300 for May 21-30 (practicum only camp); These amounts include domestic and international flights, everything except for vaccinations (Hepatitis A and B, tetanus, rabies). All veterinary students are eligible for a 50% scholarship toward your trip costs and airfare.
