Who I Am

Dr. Gina has been involved with CVM since the 1987 Urbana Missions Conference. Through the years, she has participated in short-term mission trips, served on the CVM Board of Advisors, served on CVM staff as Director of Affiliate Ministries, and most recently served long-term in South Sudan with her family.

While in South Sudan, Steve and Gina worked together with two Sudanese and two Kenyan pastors to establish a discipleship training program that is focused on preparing South Sudanese believers to serve as missionaries to unreached people. The training also provides practical instruction in conservation farming techniques and basic animal health, enabling participants to support themselves while serving as a blessing to the communities where they are sent.

Steve passed away unexpectedly from cardiac arrest while serving in South Sudan in 2023. His passion for farming and discipleship was deeply woven into the ministry they had built together. Today, that ministry continues under the leadership of their dedicated team. Gina continues to visit and support the team as they carry the vision forward.

Steve and Gina have four children: Hazel, Abraham, Josiah, and Cyrus.

My Work

Gina has returned from South Sudan and now serves as a mobilizer with CVM. She has the joy of walking with veterinary professionals who are seeking to serve the Lord as field workers. In addition, she is serving in a similar role with her local church in Wisconsin, mobilizing young adults.
