Dr. Karen & Ron Stoufer
Who We Are
Dr. Karen Stoufer practiced veterinary medicine in New York and California before joining Christian Veterinary Mission. Karen received her DVM from Cornell University and has a master’s degree in Christian Leadership from Azusa Pacific University. She and her husband Ron have five daughters, two American-born daughters raised in Asia and three Nepali/Bhutanese refugee foster daughters born in Asia and raised in America. Currently they reside in Pennsylvania to be near their grandchildren.
Our Work
Karen has served with CVM for over 30 years. Most recently she was the Director of Training and the Asia Area Director in a Seattle-based position. Prior to this, Karen, Ron and their daughters served as Christian Veterinary Mission long-term fieldworkers in Nepal where they focused on animal health training, women’s empowerment, and community development. Currently, Ron & Karen serve as volunteer associates with CVM, especially in training and preparing others for overseas service.
