Who We Are

Drs. M & S graduated from veterinary school 30+ years ago and shortly thereafter Christ radically changed their hearts and ambitions. In response to God’s love and by His grace, they committed to following Him wherever, including overseas missions. After 10 years in US veterinary practice, M, S, and their two children and a cat began serving in Nepal. Five years later, they crossed over the Himalayas to work with folks who had very limited to no access to the Gospel as well as veterinary medicine. After serving for 15 years in Asia, they returned to the US where S resumed clinical medicine, and M served with CVM as a Missions Mobilizer & in Pastoral Care. M stepped down from his official staff position in 2021 but continues his involvement as a CVM volunteer, mentoring those involved in a call to overseas missions. He is also the pastor of spiritual development at his local church. M & S reside in southern Oregon – envision Crater Lake NP & the Oregon Coast. Their doors are open for visitors – that could be you! Actually, their doors are pretty much open most of the time with having six granddaughters living next door who cherish snuggles – their daughter’s family. They also have eight grandsons located in FL – their son’s family. Through it all, they have discovered that following Jesus is a journey of miraculous, life-altering adventures, lived out by God’s grace, and all to His glory! M’s desire for this upcoming year (and beyond) is to continue challenging, equipping & facilitating folks in growing their love for Christ & catching a bigger picture of His Kingdom purposes!
