Who We Are

Corey and Kaethe Gallagher will be serving in Honduras. They have a son, daughter and daughter-in-law. They have lived in Ohio, New York, St. Kitts, Iowa, and eventually back in Wisconsin. Corey earned a BS in Chemistry from U of M in 1996 and graduated from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. They both came to Christ while Corey was in vet school and took their first short-term trip to Nicaragua in 2010. In 2011 they purchased a small animal clinic back near Corey’s hometown in Wisconsin and Kaethe became the office manager. Corey and Kaethe led and participated in numerous short-term trips with their two children to Nicaragua, Ghana, and Honduras. They felt called to missions and even put their clinic on the market with the plan that they would “go” when the Lord sold the clinic. The clinic was on the market for 5 years with no sale. After numerous short-term trips to Honduras, they finally surrendered to the Lord in obedience to His call to long-term missions and decided that they were going, even if they had to just shut the clinic doors. Seven months later the Lord sold the clinic they had owned for 12 years and had tried to sell for 5 years.

They have chosen their project name, "Workers, Approved" based on 2 Tim 2:15: "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."

Our Work

God gave the Gallaghers a vision to disciple and mobilize the Honduran Church to reach the unreached in countries that are closed to Americans. They plan to do this by opening a non-profit, gospel-centered vet clinic in Olanchito, Honduras that will help them to build relationships, minister to, and disciple local community members, as well as serve as an outreach to small rural villages nearby. They also plan to establish a microfinance animal program and to train animal care workers in the hopes that the workers can then use those skills in remote villages as they go out as ambassadors for Christ.

Our Partner

Corey & Kaethe will be working with Iglesia Ministerio Bautista based in Olanchito. Senior Pastor Dario Delarca has an outreach, Honduras Supreme Calling, which invites short-term missionaries to come help spread the Gospel. He has hosted dozens of mission teams over the past 15 years. The Gallaghers will be partnering with him in his ministry as they visit villages and help with community development projects by providing much needed veterinary care.
