Drs. John & Laurie Day

Who We Are

Drs. John and Laurie Day ran their own dairy veterinary practice and milk quality laboratory in Idaho for 29 years and raised their three children in the state they love. After participating in multiple short-term mission trips and vet student ministry through Christian Veterinary Mission (CVM) for twelve years, they sensed God leading them to a deeper commitment and back to the country that captivated their hearts on their first mission. The Days have been sent by CVM to work with V.E.T. Net, a non-governmental organization (non-profit) in Mongolia.

Our Work

John and Laurie are serving though V.E.T. Net in Mongolia.  They work to share the love of Christ throughout Mongolia through continuing education for countryside veterinarians, teacher training, rural summer school programs, church leader training, and practical instruction for veterinary students. John and Laurie are using their dairy experience to help develop training for the veterinarians serving the western-style automated dairies that have been built north and east of the capital of Ulaanbaatar in the past several years, as well as exploring the possibility of establishing a milk quality laboratory. Laurie will also be using her 37 years of experience as a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind to help teach dog training and socialization through the small animal clinic. Through their work, the Days hope to build lasting relationships, share the Good News to those who have never heard, disciple believers, and encourage disciple-making throughout the nation of Mongolia.
