Position: Veterinary Technician, Full-Time
Salary: $20-26/hr

Supporting veterinarians in providing medical care to a variety of species, including companion animals (dogs, cats) and large animals (livestock, horses). This role involves clinical, laboratory, and client-facing responsibilities in both clinic and field settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
- Restrain and handle animals safely, including large animals such as cattle, small ruminants, pigs, horses, etc.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal) and perform diagnostic tests
- Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery
- Take digital radiographs (X-rays)
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient files
- Prepare surgical instruments and maintain sterile environments
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals
- Assist with herd health programs and farm calls when needed
- Educate clients on animal care, nutrition, medications, and post-treatment instructions
- Maintain and clean equipment, exam rooms, and vehicles used for farm visits
Work Environment:
- Combination of in-clinic work and on-site farm visits
- Exposure to various animal species, weather conditions, and physical demands
- May require travel, lifting heavy animals or equipment, and working irregular hours, including weekends or emergency (on an on-call basis)
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology
- Credentialed as a Licensed/Registered (LVT/RVT)
- Experience with both small and large animals preferred, but not required
- Strong animal handling and restraint skills
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, procedures, and pharmacology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
