Job Description:
Westwood Pet Care is a single doctor, laid back small animal clinic with the nicest clients around. We always practice quality medicine to the highest standard and perform everything from routine maintenance exams to advanced surgical procedures. We have extensive inhouse lab machines, radiology, ultrasound, and a full surgical suite. We have a fantastic staff and always strive to maintain a healthy work life balance. Additionally, as a small business we are happy to provide mentorship in regards to business management. Externs will be involved in all the day to day activities of the clinic. They will be included on hands on exams, assisting in surgery and coming up with treatment protocols for patients. At the end of their externship, they will be encouraged to prepare a short presentation for the staff on a topic of their choosing on patient care, disease management, or other veterinary related topic.

Dr. Joki was an officer of her CVF group throughout her vetschool. She is a new business owner and loves mentoring new and budding veterinarians. Interested applicants should send their resume, letter of intent, and dates of requested externship to [email protected]

How do you integrate your faith in the workplace environment?
While not all of our employees are Christians. We always try to wear our faith on our sleeve through our actions and conversations. We have utilized the CVM remember a pet program as well as being open about our faith to anyone who should ask. Externs should be good role models for those around them and their faith should be evident in their actions.
