Job Description:

Westwood Pet Care is a 2 doctor, small animal clinic seeing dogs, cats, and small furry exotics and birds.  We practice high-quality medicine and perform everything from routine wellness exams to advanced surgical procedures. With extensive in-house lab machines, radiology, ultrasound, a full surgical suite, and overnight services from the reference labs we have all the resources needed for quick accurate diagnoses.  We have a welcoming trained staff and maintain a healthy work life balance. Additionally, as a small business we are happy to provide mentorship regarding business management and demonstrate how to maintain a family while running a practice. Externs will be involved in all the day to day activities of the clinic and will be included on hands on exams, assisting in surgery and coming up with treatment protocols for patients.

Dr. Joki was an officer of her CVF group throughout her vet school. She is our business owner and loves mentoring new and budding veterinarians. Interested applicants should send their resume, letter of intent, and dates of requested externship to [email protected].

How do you integrate your faith in the workplace environment?
While not all of our employees are Christians. We always try to wear our faith on our sleeve through our actions and conversations. We have utilized the CVM remember a pet program as well as being open about our faith to anyone who should ask. Externs should be good role models for those around them and their faith should be evident in their actions.
