Short-term trips with Christian Veterinary Mission allow participants to grow in their faith while they use their veterinary skills in Christian service, learn from other cultures, and develop new relationships with people around the world. CVM short-term missions impacts lives when animals are helped, creating opportunities for the Gospel to be shared.

A CVM short-term team serving students in Bolivia

Dr. Coalson Lacey
is one example of someone who has come full circle with CVM, first serving as a student himself at Texas A&M through his schools Christian Veterinary Fellowship group and then participating in short-term trips with CVMCoalson then went on to serve as a long-term missionary in Bolivia before returning to the US to continue as a volunteer Associate with CVM throughout Latin America.

Engaging with students, both in the US and Bolivia, has allowed Coalson to go full circle, mobilizing others to serve through their profession. Through ongoing short-term missions, Coalson is able to serve, mentor, and share the hope that he has in Christ.

Dr. Coalson Lacey
CVM Associate

I have always loved working with students and passing on knowledge and skills from one generation to the next. Currently, I travel to Bolivia and South America to host booths at major veterinary conferences, host outreach events in Bolivia with students and vets, help coordinate the Real Life/Real Impact weekend in Bolivia each year, and help organize an online continuing education conference for Argentinian vetsI would love to have others participate in short-term trips to serve in Central and South America.
Ryan Jeffers
CVM Short-Term Missions Coordinator

In CVM, veterinary professionals and students are equipped and encouraged to use their skills to serve across the globe. With a goal of short-term trips creating a long-term impact, CVM teams often return to the same location year after year to build relationships, better understand the culture and language, and invest in both the long-term workers and those they serveWe engage people as students in university and provide a venue for lifelong service and fellowship as they continue serving others through their profession.
