Central Point, OR
I spent most of my childhood to early adult years in the Pacific Northwest (mostly WA). I have ranching roots in horses, cattle, sheep & wheat. I graduated from veterinary college at WSU in Pullman, WA in 1986. I met & married my bride, Shelley while we were in veterinary school. Though Christ was not a part of our lives when we married, He was definitely knocking on Shelley’s & my hearts and we were “wonderfully saved” in 1988. Shortly after becoming Christians, we started our own veterinary practice in Redmond, WA (1989). Over the next 10 years we spent a concerted time & effort growing in the LORD and then in 1998 we found ourselves in Asia ministering through our church & CVM. The LORD kept us in Asia for the next 15 years serving in many different roles & capacities. We returned to the States in 2013 where we located in Seattle, WA. Shelley entered back into clinical medicine & I continued serving with CVM having Mission Mobilization & Pastoral Care responsibilities (privileges). I served in that role until CVM ventured on its own in 2021 when I, due to health issues, stepped down from my CVM staff position. I have continued to serve as a volunteer in CVM mentoring, disciplining, pastoring & counseling those wanting to go, those going and those already overseas to grow in their passion for Christ, His gospel, His Church & the salvation of those yet to believe. Shelley & I consider it a true privilege for me to serve CVM on the board and the opportunity to give from all that God has given to us through CVM. Prayers always appreciated!!
