Myanmar Relief

Send a Note Start a Campaign

In 2021 the Myanmar military staged a coup and ordered a year-long state of emergency.  This has resulted in continued unrest in the area and the closing of vital borders. Families are fearful to return to their homes.  Some families have moved back close to their village to maintain their home and fields but are still living in the forest for fear of military movement into the village.  Medical supplies and medics are almost non-existent. The COVID-19 pandemic has also added to the suffering due to a lack of migrant work which many families were dependent on prior to the border closure between Myanmar and Thailand.  The Thailand-Myanmar border closure has also prevented access to health care and medications for critically ill individuals living along the border region that were previously accessible in Thailand.

Your prayers and contribution to the Myanmar Relief Project are highly treasured.  In 2021, this project worked through the local church networks to deliver a total of 438,000 complete meals and three large shipments of medical supplies to people in need within Myanmar.  In addition, tons of rice, tarpaulin shelters, clothing and medical supplies continue to be delivered along the border of Myanmar, bringing spiritual and physical hope to thousands of families in desperate need.
