Ag - Horizon

AgHorizons is directed by Francsden “Acky” Franzo, a rising Haitian leader who grew up under the influence of the late CVM worker, Keith Flanagan, as his godson. Acky was inspired by his work with CVM to complete agriculture and Biblical studies degrees at S.E.E.D. Ministries and has recently completed a research project to obtain his Agronomy Degree. Now, CVM is coming alongside Acky with mentorship, guest instructors, and fundraising support to establish AgHorizons, a training center that combines first-rate veterinary instruction with hands on practice. Acky has a long-range vision for the center and is passionate about its emphasis on recruiting rural students and helping them find meaningful employment in their home communities instead of the cities or even other countries.

This project engages multiple CVM long-term workers, numerous short-term instructors, along with volunteer teams and veterinary interns, in service that utilizes their professional skills. By doing so, they are equipping and empowering local Haitians to meet the economic needs of their own people.
