Mongolia – LA Clinic Open
June 1 - July 1
An event every month that begins at 12:00 am on day 1 of the month, repeating until October 31, 2020
Vets, vet techs, and 3rd or 4th year vet students with large animal skills are needed to serve with V.E.T. Net in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia! Come serve through LA clinics, veterinary remote countryside trips, and/or through Mongolia veterinary intern training. We need your help to support and mentor the national veterinarians, interns, and herders who are seeking to improve their knowledge and skills.
Type of work includes equine, ruminant, some dairy, veterinary/herder training, and Bible studies. Serve alongside Mongolian veterinarians (you will always be paired with Mongolian English speakers to help with translations).
Trips last for a minimum of 2 weeks (possibly 3 weeks, if traveling to very remote countryside), and dates are flexible- please contact us if you have a time you’d like to serve!
|Cost||$1360 (for 14 days in country). Because dates are flexible, cost varies based on number of days in-country. (Cost does not include airfare to and from Ulaanbaatar).|
|Local Partner||V.E.T. Net is a national NGO that has come from the work of Christian Veterinary Mission in Mongolia. It is a network of veterinarians, educators and training professionals throughout Mongolia to bring genuine change to the rural, urban, and university population of Mongolia through the love and message of Jesus Christ.|
|Vet Work||Equine, ruminant, dairy; veterinary/herder training. A short-term worker’s primary function would be to help support/mentor the national veterinarians, herders, and V.E.T. Net interns who are seeking to improve their knowledge and skills in veterinary practice, so that they can then train other veterinarians in the country.|
|Ministry Work||Encourage and witness to Mongolian veterinarians. We seek to accomplish this through relationship building, Bible training, and devotionals. We believe equipping and encouraging local believers is the best way to reach Mongolia for Christ.|
|Number Needed||Individual men or women vets, techs, or 3rd - 4th year vet students.|
