Are you a vet in excellent physical condition with a love for high-elevation hiking and a desire to serve Muslim nomads through veterinary medicine? If so, then this trip might be for you! Veterinary work will include sheep, goats and horses and possibly a few water buffalo.
Participants need to be able to hike and carry a backpack at elevations over 5,000 feet and possibly as high as 10 -12,000 feet. The location will be remote and nights may likely be spent camping in tents in the beautiful Himalayan summer pastures.
Note: Potential participants will be added only with team leader approval. Team members must be flexible for possible changes in plans due to political changes and willing to be culturally sensitive.
