Serve in the villages in the foothills of the Himalayas while training village animal health workers to provide basic animal health care in their communities (deworming, vaccination, basic treatments for diseases). There will also be an opportunity to help with the operation of a small goat breeding farm.

Cost $1200 Cost is variable based on length of trip. 12-21 day trips are available.
Local Partner Satlay Goat Farm
Vet Work Assisting in training village animal health workers to provide basic animal health care in their villages (deworming, vaccination, basic treatments for diseases). Also opportunity to help with the operation of a small goat breeding farm.
Ministry Work Training and discipleship of local missionaries so they can have more effective outreach in their communities as animal health workers. Leading of Bible studies and devotionals.

Additional Information Qualifications: Strong personal faith and commitment to Christ; Sense of adventure, flexibility and willingness to travel and stay in primitive conditions and do a fair amount of walking; farm background or bachelor’s degree in animal science/agriculture at a minimum. DVM or Master’s degree preferred but vet techs and students are also encouraged to apply. Cross cultural experience preferred but not required.
