USA - Lakota Sioux

Build relationships with the Oglala Lakota people on the Pine Ridge Reservation by sharing your faith and service through your veterinary skills. Veterinary work includes small animal vaccinations, internal and external parasite control, and some spays and neuters. Help to inspire the next generation through educational trips to the local elementary school! 

Local Partner: Pastor Mike Merrival Lakota Baptist Church, Pastor Stanley Hollow Horn Wounded Knee Church of God and Pastors Gus and Terry Craven Eagle Nest Life Center, and Pastor Harrison No Neck.

Vet Work: Small animal vaccinations, internal and external parasite control, some spays and neuters. Potential for some LA work as well (food animal and equine), and visiting the local school, Lord willing, to share about vet work. 

Ministry Work: Daily devotions. Engage and share with community members and pet owners during clinics. Support and encourage local Pastors and business owners on the reservation through trust and relationship-building.

Lodging: Team will be staying at host sites on the reservation and may include bunk beds, cots, and/or air mattresses.

Team members needed: 5 DVMs/ Vet Techs.
