Mongolia (SA Clinic)

Travel to Mongolia to help teach others using your small animal skills! Trips last for 2 weeks during the month. Dates are flexible - please contact us if you have a time you'd like to serve!

DVMs and techs with small animal skills are needed to serve with V.E.T. Net in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia! We need your help to support and mentor the national veterinarians and support staff at the SA clinic who are seeking to improve their knowledge and skills, so that they can then train other veterinarians in the country. Type of work includes teaching, mentoring, and discipleship of young Mongolian DVMs, vet techs, groomers, and/or clinic manager within the clinic setting.

Serve individually or come with a team of professionals! English speakers will be available at the clinic.

Local Partner: V.E.T. Net is a national NGO that has come from the work of Christian Veterinary Mission in Mongolia. It is a network of veterinarians, educators, and training professionals throughout Mongolia to bring genuine change to the rural, urban, and university population of Mongolia through the love and message of Jesus Christ.

Vet Work: Enerekh Small Animal Clinic and Training Center in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia is a branch of V.E.T. Net that seeks to serve the community by providing and advancing veterinary care for small animals and exotics and to serve other local veterinarians and veterinary students though CE training and referral work. A short-term worker's primary function would be to help support/mentor the national veterinarians and support staff at the clinic who are seeking to improve their knowledge and skills in veterinary practice, so that they can then train other veterinarians in the country.

Ministry Work: Encouragement and discipleship of believers is the primary focus at the clinic. We seek to accomplish this through relationship building, Bible training, and devotionals. We believe equipping and encouraging the believers here is the best way to reach this country for Christ. We also seek to personally share the hope of Christ with students, interns, and other veterinarians who come to us for training as the opportunity presents itself.

Number Needed: 1-2; Individuals can come and serve alone or as a team (may be divided into different projects upon arrival).

Cost Additional Information: Because dates are flexible, cost varies based on number of days in-country. (Cost does not include airfare to and from Ulaanbaatar). Costs usually average out to $100/day up to 65 days (not including insurance or airfare).
