Who We Are

Dr. Barry Schwenk became involved with CVM in 1995, while at Kansas State University. He was blessed to be part of a wonderful student group and participate in short term missions through CVM. He continued to be involved with CVM in the US over the next 7 years while working as a mixed animal practitioner in Arizona and then a small animal emergency veterinarian in Indiana. Barry, his wife, and daughter then transitioned to long-term international field staff with CVM and served 6 years in rural Ethiopia.

Our Work

After completing their time in Ethiopia, the Schwenks transitioned back to the United States and Barry began serving as the Southwest Regional Representative. He is involved with student and professional ministries that support Christian professionals in their faith walk and ministries. Barry speaks often at student groups, conferences and professional small groups in the Southwest. His vision is to see better connections between Christian professionals in my region so that we can support each other in kingdom work.
