Our Mission

Community Voice Mail (CVM) helps people living in poverty, transition and homelessness rebuild their lives by connecting them to jobs, housing, information and hope. We do this by customizing and distributing communications technology via a national network of community-based services.

  • Powerful Outreach - Recently we partnered with Aids.gov to broadcast an awareness campaign to our clients. We successfully reached 20,000 people. Read more

Awareness Outreach - HIV is five times more prevalent in the homeless population than in the non-homeless population, and many people who have HIV don't know it. Especially for homeless people, it's important to get tested.

For National HIV Testing Day, June 27th, Community Voice Mail partnered with AIDS.gov to get the word out to 20,000 CVM clients about local HIV testing sites. Using broadcast voice and email messaging to reach our clients, direct communication with our agency partners, and a range of other tools (blogs, Twitter, facebook, and Second Life), we reached a lot of people who ordinarily might not hear this important message. When there is no other way
To reach me through the day
